Pros

I love being 100% and I have a lot of flexibility with the job. The benefits are pretty good - there is a lot to choose from at various price points.

Cons

Difficult to grow salary significantly. New program to earn money from change requests is nice but difficult if you're on a client that doesn't spend a lot of money on changes. Besides, my role is not salesman so having to basically "sell" in order to get bonuses bothers me. I know there are people in roles specific for that.

Pros

I would say that the only pro is that the role is remote. However, you are glued to your computer with hardly any time even to take a lunch between calls and solution work

Cons

a glorified call center role. the emphasis is quantity over quality. not enough support on member calls and the responsibilities are continuously growing without pay increases to reflect the additional responsibility

Extremely stressful job. It’s basically a call center and you are micro managed
