Pros

Work with bright and driven people, challenged on daily basis, good compensation, AP pays 100% of health insurance premiums, good dental and vision too

Cons

Travel can be constant if you're in FAS. Life on the road has its pluses (nice meals, nice hotels, frequent flyer points and miles) but living out of a suitcase gets old.

Old Boys Club Mentality

Pros

Good reputation. Presence of world class industry leaders drives performance. The work is challenging and demanding - but in a way that pushes you forward. No matter how senior an MD or other leader may be, they are willing to roll up their sleeves and dig into the work to get the job done.

Cons

Lack of defined expectations/development plan, leadership is not transparent, raises/promotions aren't common for women and there is no such thing as work/life balance. The culture is abrasive and leadership lacks understanding of employee needs. If you aren't the type to chum it up with the boys then your career will be short lived at AlixPartners. Favoritism is rampant and top contributors are often overlooked because of it. Institutionalized sexism is strong.

Pros

Benefits and pay are excellent! They treat their people really well and have a great culture.

Cons

Some people are set in their ways and that mentality halts production and makes more work for other teams
