Pros

Coworkers are great Remote work

Cons

This company used to be great but recently there was a lot of upper management change that drove Alkami into the ground. There are unreasonable expectations set by management that require you to work ridiculous hours in order to meet them. If you complain you will either be ignored or fired. There are multiple initiatives happening at the same time with impossible timelines and upper leadership constantly over promises to the clients. Also expect a 0% raise. If you’re applying for a SDET role be VERY cautious

Pros

There are talented, resilient employees who support each other perhaps due to trauma bonding. The HQ building is nice and the compensation is competitive.

Cons

Alkami has incredible talent at the individual contributor and mid-management levels, but the senior leadership—particularly at the VP level—lacks the industry knowledge, strategic foresight, and teamwork necessary to create a stable and effective organization. Rather than taking the time to understand the business, clients, or internal processes, they rush into changes for political positioning, leading to constant shifts in priorities, poor communication, and a complete lack of role clarity. The result? A reactive, fire-drill culture where strategic planning is abandoned at the first sign of a challenge, employees are burned out by constant directional changes, and the most knowledgeable team members leave—often without leadership even noticing or caring. For those who thrive in daily chaos or don’t mind working for leaders more focused on optics than outcomes, this might be the place for you. But if you value thoughtful leadership, collaboration, and a sustainable work environment, look elsewhere.
