Pros

Good work-life balance -- hardly ever had to work overtime or on weekends. Employees are all pretty friendly, intelligent, and fairly easy to collaborate with. Compensation is fair. Tech stack remains relevant. Free provided lunch is nice. Location is great as well. I'd say that the company seems to be headed in the right direction.

Cons

- Working from home is frowned upon by HR. - The founder of the company can also come off a bit aggressive when disrupting dev teams with sudden issues. - There's no 401k match.

Pros

A fun and challenging place to work. Integrations can be chaotic, but they do a good job and have talented people there. This isn't some stripped down, cheap operation. They are going forward to carve out a big share of the market and will do so. Get in on the ground floor while it's hot.

Cons

The roles could need more defining with CSS vs JavaScript vs .NET for a front end developer. The sprints need to have more predictability as far as knowing what you are going to be working on in the next month or two.

Young, fast paced, breaking barriers, challenging and never a dull moment. You have the opportunity here to grow in your career, to be creative and see the impact of your work. For some this is a pro and I think if this is a pro for you then welcome. Oh and yeah there are catered lunches everyday and birthday celebrations every month and team building and super powerful laptops and a cool office space etc...

Cons

Young, fast paced, breaking barriers, challenging and never a dull moment. For some this is a con while for others a pro. If you're looking for a job, like those typically found in old or large organizations, that do not challenge you, that do not care about your new ideas or new technology and prefer for you to just do the same day to day maintenance then by all means, Alkami is not for you.
