Pros

It is a job. However, if out of work I would recommend just continue to be unemployed. The only pro I can speak of was the President of the Company during my tenure. His nickname was the "General" and he actually cared about each employee. I remember he would call and check up on how my family was doing. He could hear the problems and give you constructive advice. I was usually tired and overworked but he motivated people like I am sure General Patton did during World War II

Cons

-Work/Life Balance. This is a joke for anyone not in corporate management of the company. If you are an operations manager or mover you will work at minimum 6-7 days a week to be successful. There is absolutely no room for family or time off. The military will provide you more family time that this company will. -Loyalty. There is absolutely no loyalty from management to employees. Each employee unless friends with the right people will eventually be terminated. It does matter if you have worked many years, the first chance/mistake they will let you go. After they let you go they will ask if you want to re-locate or re-train for another postion. -Pay. Each person that is a mover or manager is severely underpaid in comparison to other companies in the HHG industry. In fact a the best mover for this company is one who make $9 an hour. All employees making a salary or more than $9 an hour should be aware that you are on the chopping block. - Lack of Support. As manager there is constantly a lack of assistance. They preach that the branch is yours and you make all the decisions. However, you cannot hire, train, or terminate people without the corporate management getting involved. There were times I literally was only person in the office working 7 days in a row. The answer will be "good job, keep at it." -Untruthful Sales Presentations. If you want to lie each day to many different customers then this is the job for you. The pricing is full of lies, the extra charges are full of lies, and the managers know they must tell those lies or face termination. This company is out to move as many people as possible to get the most money. There is no regard for each customer being special or unique.

Cons

No home work life balance, long hours, overly stressful and no grantee of days of. Corporate had no idea what they are doing and are extremely greedy. Did a gray sale job during training.
