      Pros

      Great hours for corporate staff. Minimal supervision Willingness to invest in remodeling and upgrading facilities. Well educated and compassionate medical staff.

      Cons

      Taking away personal time because old timers hoard their time. Lack of communication with staff. Poor planning. Lack of raises, too many people start very low on the pay scales. No respect given for non-clinical degrees

      Better than the other system maybe...

      Cons

      Has declined rapidly in the past 2 years - focus is now on bottom line, not on patient care and NOT on employees. A lot of management that knows nothing about the operation of health care makes decisions about the delivery of health care for the hospital system. Weak leadership on all levels.

      I liked the people I worked with and the diversity of all of the employees

      The upper management was divided with their vision and decision making. Due to the merger of Highmark and the hospitals the road ahead was very blurry. They also were laying off a lot of long time employees
