      Pros

      Work-life balance is great.

      Cons

      Unless you are part of the group that they want don't you most likely will end up being let go. Management is too busy to notice what goes on day to day within the office and when brought to their attention it is ignored. Most departments do their own thing and issues are handled within the department.

      Pros

      Generally good, caring people in the rank and file who are committed to their jobs. Excellent clinical staff. Employees are very willing to help each other and further the mission of providing quality care.

      Cons

      Extremely political, lack of accountability in the highest levels of the organization. Administration at the hospital level and corporate leadership has had continuous turnover, leading to lack of continuity in business strategy and short sighted decision making. Leadership is generally more interested in preserving their status or advancing their own careers than acting in the best interests of the organization to affect real, meaningful change, which is badly needed.

      Pros

      Being in the union helps a lot... I feel management would do whatever they wanted ( good or bad) to nurses if it wasn't there

      Cons

      upper management basically puts "band-aids" on things and doesn't actually fix the problem
