      Pros

      The staff are supportive of each other and work together to provide a safe and caring environment for the patients. Professional teamwork and very talented surgeons in a large level one trauma center

      Cons

      No visible, qualified or educated leadership to support the dedicated staff. Tired union workings delay changes to protect senior seniority. A lot of mandating for some. Disorganization and high turnover is worse since the Highmark affiliation

      Pros

      Cool technology. Meaningful work being it is a hospital. CEO is demanding but has his act together and has earned my respect. Knows how to run a healthcare system. Understands the whole picture.

      Cons

      Sketchy management with little or no experiencing managing people. Long hours....little or no sleep yet expected to be at your desk at 8a. Little to no professional development opportunities unless you do them yourself at your own expense. Pay not commensurate with duties expected to be performed. Poor capacity and resource planning by management with little strategic planning as well.
