"Our people are replaceable"

Internal employees start with 4 weeks (accrued) PTO, decent pay, hybrid WFH/office schedule, awesome coworkers.
Cons
The company seems to have stopped caring about the people who keep it running. Our team was cut down from 15 people to 9, then told to take on the extra work from the lost coworkers while working fewer than 44 hours per week. No extra pay, just the promise that "we're looking to hire 1-2 more people to add to the team", despite having lost 6. You're punished for not being overly optimistic and chipper in every interaction with another person. Our department has continuously had more and more responsibilities shifted onto it over the past 6 months with no increase in pay or team size. That's unacceptable. I absolutely loved working for this company until the recent shift in how things are done, and since February 2022 things have gone rapidly downhill.
