Supportive culture but turns out you can be just a number
Pros
Working for Allegis Group was a big part of my career. The culture, the people, and the support from colleagues and mentors made it a place where I genuinely grew and felt connected. Even when the compensation was just ok, the environment kept people committed.
Cons
Over time, though, the company went through many changes - small on their own, but significant when combined. During our company's dissolution, my production was no longer sufficient to keep my role (though I was a yearly contest winner) - while low production of others allowed them to keep theirs, and for the first time, I felt like a number. It was a tough feeling, especially after years of loyalty and positive experiences. Leaving wasn’t easy, but I’ve learned that change can lead to better opportunities. Sometimes the grass really is greener on the other side, even when the transition is hard.
