Pros

I'm really not sure what they would be at this point. I am actively looking, and just about everyone I am close to at the company is also looking. Oh, health benefits are good.

Cons

This company was purchased by Super D in fall 2013. It has been tough for employees, we have been through several ownership changes and several rounds of layoffs. Now in a declining market we have new owners who have communicated no vision or direction for the company. People are at a loss. Everyone, even senior managers, are spending a lot of energy worrying about being let go or the company closing. It's a terrible enviornment. In addition, everyone is talking about the fact that the new owners are trying to inflate revenue by overcharging customers and other unethical practices. I am very worried, and I would recommend that other people stay away if you have another option. Also people are paid under market. All the good ones are leaving/have left. Oh, and everyone, even VPs and up, have to fill out DAILY end of day reports and send to their supervisor and cc others in their group. It is the new president's thing. It's exceptionally degrading and just spams everyone else. I am pretty sure my manager never even looked at mine, and it was just annoying having my coworker's daily logs in my inbox every day. Seriously, what kind of asinine policy is that?

The Most Cynical and Exploitative Company I've Ever Worked For

Pros

Any Pros would only be attributable to the company I worked for before the Alliance purchase.

Cons

I work for a company recently purchased by Alliance and absorbed into their family of companies. Our purchase amounted to a significant (about 20%) cut to my take-home pay due to Alliance's flimsy 'benefits' with no plan to compensate for that loss. We were also moved to Alliance's health insurance, which is not only significantly worse than our previous insurance, the premiums are so expensive that I couldn't afford to go to the doctor even with the meager coverage it provides. They offset this with an HSA credit card that you'll be thrilled to find out at the register covers as little as their insurance does. Their HR is largely unresponsive, raises are essentially non-existent, corporate structure is not transparent, and essentially everyone above me from within Alliance I've worked closely with has been shockingly inept at their job and producing work that doesn't line up with industry standards. God help you if your company gets bought up next.
