      Pros

      Alliant Insurance overall is a good place to work, they are a reputable and distinguished company. They care about their employees and provide an environment with good work-life balance. Their pay is decent.

      Cons

      While their benefits are good they are very expensive for family coverage, the Medical plan is a high deductible HSA plan and the cost is on a salary scale which can make it very expensive to have coverage. The company contributes only a small amount towards the HSA so you pay high cost for coverage and have to contribute significantly more towards the HSA, thus lowering the overall take home amount.

      Pros

      Great culture. The company does the right thing. Period. Sure there will be individuals that may not act this way but I'm in the corporate location and have seen the executives in action. They do the right thing.

      Cons

      Lots of work and they don't believe in being overstaffed. That's normal right now as we exit the recession.
