Pros

You get a paycheck every two weeks

Cons

Be prepared to get worked to death and not receive any recognition or a simple thank you. Allstate makes changes based on what is good for the bottom line. They don’t care how it affects the employees or customers. Claims process is outsourced to a team in India who don’t know what they are doing. First notice of loss is outsourced to a team in Columbia. They don’t know what they are doing either. You spend your time cleaning up the messes these two teams make along with getting slammed with claims.

Pros

If you like working remote there are options.

Cons

Poorly run, terrible management, senior leadership does not care about their employees. They went through transformative growth laying off some amazing employees only to dump their work onto the employees that made the cut. They put horrible leaders in their positions that have no clue how to do their jobs. With the exception of one manager in almost 15 years of service they were all terrible. With working fully remote the company has no idea who you are and good luck trying to advance in the company. They send automatic reply’s to internal employees saying no without any consideration or feedback. 15 years with a company and you can’t even do an interview?! The pay is TERRIBLE. In one breath they will tell you all about work life balance but in the next they want reps to handle an inventory 100 more than the standard. It’s a sinking ship…run don’t walk in the opposite direction.

Pros

Benefits and 401k and vacation.

Cons

Was offered the job, I countered and they said they could meet my counter after 6 months of good performance. 6 months comes around and I've already taken on responsibility of another recruiter who quit. Was told no raise was such a thing and no one told me that. Fast forward another 6 months, now taking the work on for 3 recruiters (never backfilled) was told no merit raise for me because of poor performance and not filling reqs quick enough like I was before (mind you I'm doing the work of 3 full time jobs). They said if I performed well the next year they would promote me and give a raise. 6 month after I got a token $500 bonus for great performance. Another 6 months, they told me the promotion isn't going to happen because of poor performance and not merit raise (I'm already doing the work of 4 people at this point). I quit a week later for another opportunity that paid twice what I was making. Now I just poach their employees.
