Pros

Great vacation/pto. Can buy pto days.

Cons

Nasty, toxic environment in Allstate Brand Operations. SVPs are only concerned about themselves and their favorites who protect them. I saw lots of incompetence and time/money waste. Like with any big company, layoffs are a constant threat. If you are a favorite, you may be protected for a while. But eventually your time will come, and when it does it will be cold and impersonal. As I've been interviewing for new jobs I'm learning that respectable companies don't respect Allstate. They believe it's behind the times, especially in technology. So having Allstate on your resume may not be helpful in getting a new job. Depends on your field, I guess.

3 year vesting, hot seat environment, rifs, lack of promotion opportunity. Little opportunity to practice the healthy living advice.
