Pros

The pros will depend on the agent you produce for. Salary is competitive with other carriers as is the commision. Allstate has a fantastic agent program.

Cons

If you are looking for a sales job where you don't feel like you're "selling" someone then insurance isn't your industry. Allstate provides a premium insurance product. They have a very niche market, and they are very specific on who they will write business for. This makes the task at hand that more complicated , but not impossible.

Pros

Great environment working in the CompoZed Lab. Free breakfast (usually some good breakfast burritos and/or pancakes) every morning and a no cost snack bar. A very positive environment where everyone wants to work together to solve problems in a truly Agile environment. Good pay and benefits and they are paying for some excellent and rather lengthy training for me. Good support from the higher ups to get us what we need to get our job done. Love working here!

Cons

Can't really think of much... it's more of an 8-5 style job which some may not thrive in, but I enjoy it as it tends to provide a better work/life balance.
