Pros

The company as a whole is great! Many volunteer opportunities.

Cons

Little to no Work life balance. Many days where you have to stay late or work weekends to meet unrealistic goals. The Mobile team is very male bias. If you are a female your opinion/solution does not hold any weight. If you are lucky enough to work in an Agile team expect to take no PTO's or WFH as this is seriously frown upon.

Thank you for your feedback. We take your concern seriously. Inclusive diversity is a core value here at Allstate. Only by creating an environment where everyone’s differences are valued and leveraged can we be successful. I would encourage you to bring your concern forward to any of the resources available here designed to help us uphold those values, including our anonymous i-Report process or contacting an HR representative. Information about the i-Report process can be found under the “MyWorkLife” tab on MyDesktop. ^Carly, HR

Pros

Co-workers make for a pleasant environment. Matching 401k.

Cons

Major cuts every two years; always looking over your shoulder. Very little opportunities for advancement. Increased workload with fewer resources. Can't use accrued vacation time. Medical insurance is very expensive.

Pros

Benefits, everyone is very nice. Lots of different areas, opportunities. Pay is good.

Cons

Not a great place if you are over 50....they tend to get rid of you or shove you to the side by reducing your opportunity to contribute in favor of younger, less expensive employees. And they pay lip service to minorities and women - no true commitment to having a balanced leadership group. And senior leadership does not value experience or insurance knowledge.
