Pros

great paid time off, pension plan, decent opportunities for growth, good location, and loyalty to current employees. Overall, not bad.

Cons

Poor 401K matching, limits on who moves up and who doesn't, horrible working hours (12+ hour days is the norm), low employee moral.

Pros

-For the most part many nice people working within the company. -The agents I've worked with the exception of the new one I'm working with now taught me a lot. -Good entry level position. -PTO is decent if you can use it.

Cons

-stressful work load -Customers no longer matter, how do I look when telling my loyal customer that due to their good credit and safe driving record your policy renewal increased 92% oh and it's because of the area your live in. -Unrealistic goals. -Working with my 4th Allstate independent agent after the previous three where forced out or forced to retire for various reasons. -Over worked 10 to 12 hour days are the norm for me. Leave on time and become the black sheep. -Unpaid morning meetings -Terrible benefits package. -Actually using said PTO is a task in itself. It took me 7 months to finally take a my weeks vacation as there was always something within the office preventing me from taking it. -Profits over employees and customer loyalty

Pros

High income earning potential. For the most part you can be your own boss.

Cons

To be successful you will need to make a large capital investment. Must be prepared for a lot of work in the sales field. The company is not loyal to its agency owners and will fire them if they do not meet multiple requirements that change and are often unclear.
