Pros

Great place to gain experience then go elsewhere.

Cons

Pay and reward system is geared only to the very top. Nepotism is king. Management poor. They want blind, mute followers as if the decisions coming from the top were handed down by kings not to be questioned. All they want to hear is "yes." Employee morale is low. Employees are unhappy and it shows. Turnover is high. Work life balance is non existent. At the claim and litigation levels, you must take work home and even then you will not be able to get it done. The stress is unbearable at times. Management turns the other way and keeps making more demands. They care about form rather than substance. Check the box, even if you did not do the work so that management looks good and they can get a bonus.

Horrible Company

Pros

The co workers were awesome!

Cons

Treated like a dog and paid in peanuts. They are shutting offices down left and right while the big wigs bring in million dollar bonuses. They company has no respect for the ones who actually carry the company. Garbage company. AVOID!

Pros

Good people, many, many long-term employees 25+ years supporting a strong agency force. Financially stable, profitable company. Flexible work hours. Short term development opportunities to work at H/O in Northbrook. Feels like a family.

Cons

Even with flex start times, many exempt employees regularly work 10-12 hour days with no allowance for comp-time. As a result,work/life balance suffers. Always looking to trim expenses, educational opportunties/tuition reimbursement are often not approved. Workforce reduction over the last 5 years in the agency force as well as the regional support office has hurt morale. Salaries are average or to below average for the Seattle area. Senior management displays cliquish attitude.
