Pros

I have had a great experience with middle and upper management at Allstate, the best anywhere. They put the emphasis on the customer experience, where it belongs and they are good people. They try to recognize their employees hard work.

Cons

Pay and benefits aren't up to par. I can't even afford to carry any health insurance, the premiums are too high and the deductible is disgusting. The pay isn't great either, it is okay... but not enough to keep me considering I have no insurance on myself or my kids.

Pros

Pay and PTO are decent but you would get better compensation and benefits with other insurance companies doing the same thing as you would for Allstate in the Claims Department.

Cons

IF you don't mind being monitored and having someone constantly looking over your shoulder, then this is the job for you. But wait, be sure you run to and from the bathroom and make sure you don't take too long because your time in the crapper is monitored too. In fact, if you take too long ( over a few minutes) you will mostly likely get pulled aside so you can be asked if there is anything wrong with you. (OMG, are you serious???)

Pros

Able to work from home, medical facility on campus, gym, health programs, pension and 401k

Cons

Usual bell curve for promotions - hard to get, over the last several years it seems to be much harder to get a decent raise
