Pros

Work from home, unlimited paid time off. Insurance is good, 401K match is average

Cons

Company is not doing well due to internal management mistakes so there are many waves of layoffs happening over past 12 months. Bonus cut, raises are frozen. Three CEOs in less than 12 months. No strategic plan and senior management is absent. Our customers are not happy with us. We can deliver to customers.

An Uphill Battle

Pros

Good people who *want* to be collaborative (even though they generally can't be pulled off of rigid priorities) Minor aspects of legacy company culture still shine through the myopic sludge of the updated culture being exported from Coral Gables Solid opportunities for new employees to grow quickly into their roles and get on accelerated career paths

Cons

Embattled veterans are cynical of management consultants who advocate for the latest and greatest process management system of the day without addressing more fundamental concerns around increasing capacity Headcount and employee quality dwindles as the company repetitively undervalues existing seniority and loosens standards around new hires Deeply complex product suite eludes notions of siloing and is held together by an underpaid and currently being offshored support team.

Pros

-Good people and fun colleagues in many sectors of the company -Great experience in the alternative assets space; hard work is often rewarded with quick promotions when warranted -Unlimited PTO and decent benefits.

Cons

-High levels of management and executive turnover, including four Chief Operating Officers in four years. Goals, priorities, and org charts shift with each new leadership change. -Gradual decay of work-life balance as the push to move towards a global company has increasingly resulted in meetings scheduled at unhealthy hours. Monthly mental health days off instituted during covid era have been eliminated despite being promoted as a benefit on our hiring page. -Constant reshuffle in customer-facing roles has led to justifiably unhappy legacy client base. -Company goals are driven by unrealistic and unsustainable sales targets. Products are rushed out quickly at the expensive of quality, resulting in a permanent "fire-drill" mode for product and engineering teams as they work to appease angry clients, while sales teams gets praise for pushing unsustainable products to market. -Profound levels of burnout among tenured contributors due to the above has led to high attrition and loss of subject matter expertise. Leadership brushes it off as an effect of the "Great Resignation" without addressing the underlying causes. -Human Resources is extremely error-prone and unaccountable for their mistakes -- stories abound of payroll errors, silent changes to holiday calendars, miscalculated benefits.
