Just like most organization, it is run by some individuals stuck in their old ways, don’t empathize with employee experiences or needs.

Pros

Benefits are pretty good. You start with 20 days of PTO, which goes to 23 at year 3, 25 at year 5, and 27 and year 10. And, you can roll it over year to year up to 150% of your base amount. So, someone with 20 days of PTO could accrue it until they have 30 days and be able to roll that over at the end of the year. (You stop accruing more PTO once you hit the 150% max, however). Benefits are relatively affordable, but their cheaper plans are high deductible plans. When I left, the deductible was $4400 per year (for a family). At least they provided a nice down payment on that ($1500 and up to $2000 for a family). There are a lot of good people who work here. I was able to work from home two days a week for a long time here thanks to a good manager I had for several years.

Cons

Management can be a mixed bag. When I started, I had a manager who expected us to regularly work overtime (for no extra pay because we were salaried), but he always went home on time. We worked rotating weekends. He never worked a weekend. We rotated holidays...well you get the gist. He said he had "paid his dues". Later local managers were much better, but the middle managers were generally a joke. Arrogant A-holes in some cases who simply threw their weight around. One guy loved to work 16 hour days and couldn't figure out why the rest of us didn't. Be careful, because if there is a problem, you probably won't have a manager who will listen. It happened to me. Going to HR was a joke. They literally never got back to me. The company is very woke and leftist in its outlook. If you're all in on that kind of stuff, this may be your place. But if you are tired of hearing about LGBTQ+, enjoy being forced to join ERGs (employee resource groups), and constantly be lectured to about how progressive the company is, this may not be a good match for you. I got tired of it really fast. Just exercise caution if you're looking at a position here. By the time I left, I had had enough. The company will eat you alive if you let them.
