Hey, this is the People Success team responding. Thank you for taking the time to share your experience! We are thrilled to see the culture at Almabase, specially the people, had a meaningful impact on your experience. It’s reassuring to know that empathy and support from members made a positive difference during your time with us. We acknowledge the importance of fair compensation, and as a bootstrapped company, we have been diligently researching about existing industry standards and putting efforts to align accordingly. Simultaneously, we have been introducing employee benefits like therapy support and learning & development for the overall betterment of the employee. Your feedback is duly noted and we are committed to doubling down our efforts to ensure the employees feel valued. Once again, thank you for your feedback and your contribution at Almabase!

Pros

1. Culture — Respectful & supportive team, No micromanagement 2. Growth — You will learn a lot if you apply yourself. I have seen people consistently getting promoted for their performance 3. Peer group — The team is extremely talented and is always willing to help you upskill 4. Polite Prospects — Very sales-oriented point, your prospects will almost never be rude to you if you're in this role 5. Amazing CEO — Runs the company transparently, is always approachable, puts his people first in the business 6. Unlimited PTO — Leaves are not tracked and you can take them whenever you want, even on short notice 7. Team outings — Every month, the team has a "huddle" where we recap the month from a business perspective and plan for what's next, followed by a party. Also, every year we have an annual team retreat 8. Food — Breakfast, lunch, dinner, snack everything is taken care of. Amazing food too! 9. Financials — Stable & profitable business. They do not seem to need funding to sustain so if you're doing well in your role here, sudden lay-offs are unlikely

Cons

1. Comp plan changes frequently for SDRs 2. Sometimes culture is taken for granted and individual performance takes a hit 3. Not fully remote — will be difficult for folks who have personal responsibilities outside Bangalore

Hey, this is the People Success team responding. We are thrilled to see you summarize Almabase and it’s culture in a nutshell and all the factors that created a positive experience during your time with us. We appreciate your positive comments and want to address the concerns you've raised. Compensation structure for SDRs - In 2022, the situation may have been different, given our explorations within the niche market we serve. There were changes on a quarterly basis to deal with the seasonal nature of the business i.e. some quarters are always better than others, therefore we changed the commission structure so that SDRs and the company could benefit from seasonal uptick. However, transparency has always been a priority for us, ensuring that whenever changes are made, it is clearly communicated with reasons. Moving forward to 2023 and 2024, we implemented a much improved structure for the SDR team, refined the roles and doubled down on efforts to ensure a fair and transparent compensation structure. Almabase culture - At Almabase, our culture is at the core of our identity and as we continue to grow, it’s important to ensure our culture remains strong. That’s why, in 2023, we collectively developed a Culture Code to explicitly outline our values and anti-values. This document serves as a guide to our existing members and to the members who join Almabase, ensuring everyone is aligned to on the values we uphold and the culture we disapprove of. This document is specially helpful to notice if anyone is leaning to our anti-values, to provide constructive feedback and realign with our ethos. Hybrid model - We operate under a hybrid model setup and do not accommodate complete remote setup. Members are expected to come to office for a minimum of two days in a week. However, we understand that personal responsibilities may arise, with a need for remote work for a longer duration. In such instances, we encourage the employee and the manager to discuss to arrive at a mutually agreeable path, aiming to accommodate both individual and the needs of the team. Your feedback is duly noted and we are committed to doubling down our efforts to ensure our employees feel valued. Thank you for your feedback and your contribution at Almabase!
