Pros

Living in Hawaii. Great coworkers and immediate supervisors. People you will hang out with off the clock and they make the job fun even during the really crappy, stressful days. The opportunity to work on a variety of airlines and aircraft, gaining great experience and an idea of which ones you like best, then deciding which one to transfer over to. If you like overtime, there is overtime forever due to company collecting more contracts instead of AMT's.

Cons

Upper management, Honolulu headquarters, can't see beyond the tip of their nose. The company is losing AMT's across all islands and their response was to collect even more airline contracts. You're contracted out to 5 different airlines and get paid well below industry average. Seriously, TSA and the rental car companies are offering more money for their part-time positions. Quit reading this and just go apply to Hawaiian Airlines or Mokulele Airlines. Take great care of the first set of uniforms you're issued. Takes a couple months for a replacement, also don't bother asking about a jacket because they can't afford to supply you with one. Bring you're walking shoes, not enough operating vehicles around to get to your planes. Despite the obvious shortage of manpower over the years, be ready to justify every single minute of your overtime. You will hear about it from upper management.

Pros

Company flies 737s and 767s. 737 base is home every night. The 767 base can virtually hand pick their schedule. The starting pay is more than adequate to meet the cost of living. And you live in paradise!

Cons

Not as many reciprocal agreements with other major carriers

Pros

Great lower level team environment. Good Aloha spirit at the working level.

Cons

Management not as open as I would like. Company is managed from Seattle and local management is executor of plans.
