Pros

You get a paycheck.

Cons

Horrible pay and benefits for EMS workers, altering employees paychecks to 24 Hour schedules to avoid paying double time, third rate equipment and vehicles, under qualified and untrustworthy supervisors, allowing marketing to bite off way more than they can chew, creating an unhealthy work environment for female employees due to innaproipriate relationships between supervisors and female employees, using non-union status to unfairly terminate and penalize employees, creating an unsafe work environment for the employees and their patients alike by taking calls they don’t have the equipment or man power, defrauding MEDICAL on a daily basis and pressuring their employees to ignore abuse in skilled nursing facility to avoid losing a contract with the facility.

Pros

Weekly paychecks. Flexible scheduling. Willingness to work with school schedules, but only if it’s for paramedic school. No repercussions for calling out. Some benefits. 10, 12, and 24 hour shifts.

Cons

They claim to be competitive when it comes to pay, but at the same time cap out at other companies starting medic wages. The uniforms are GARBAGE. We don’t get appropriate weather gear; they want you to believe that you only need a Costco jacket and a high-viz beast when it’s raining. No boot allowance. You need new uniforms and it’s the middle of your work week? Cool, they make you go pick them up on your own time, and you get reprimanded if you show up without them. The button-up uniforms are literally cop uniforms with their patch on them. The one polo you do get is the worst thing ever on summer months; not breathable and stains. You want a cool 5.11 sweater? You only get one for your entire stay at the company. Benefits are trash, and also super expensive if you have dependents. No repercussions for call offs, leading to shortages on shift. Supervisors lack any supervising experience. Managers lack any managing experience.

Pros

Work environment is good; great coworkers and overall great atmosphere. You want hours? You got em. 24 and 48 hour stations. 12 hour shifts. Decent equipment. Company parties. Management seems to care. Uniforms are provided for you, though they are not the best and are really uncomfortable.

Cons

Pay could be on par with other private EMS services; plenty of places start their medics off at $25/hr, but not this place. Benefits aren't the best. Good luck using PTO; they'll make you find coverage before they approve it. No retirement or 401k. No moving up in the company. You have to pay for your own recertification. Changes in uniforms. No boot allowance. You got kiss butt if you want to get recognized. A lot of empty promises being made, including increases in pay and addition of other levels of service. Dispatch gets paid much more than the most senior paramedics and get a $5 incentive for every interfacility transport they set up. Cameras in the rigs are supposed to be for "insurance purposes," but dispatch uses them to spy on people. Your prior experience doesn't mean anything. A lot of shady practices happen here; if you file an APS/CPS report or decide to report a facility for unsafe living conditions, management will come after YOU, saying how this has a negative impact on business.
