Pros

The only pro was the pay.

Cons

60 hours a week. They talk about how hard it is to get new hires to pass all their tests and drug and physicals and then they get someone and they fire you wihout warning for mediocre reasons. I was told I was being let go after 30 days of a 90 day probabtionary period. When I asked why I was told I was picking up some bad habits from the senior employees *the same one's they paired me up with for training*. So let's see here, Alro hand picked my trainers and then fired me for doing the same thing as my trainers? I was left shocked and in awe. In the end after some prying I got this out of the plant supervisor, "I watch my new guys a lot and I noticed that you were not at your work station when the break bell rang", my answer " I followed my trainer and I thought the bell meant that break was over so when the bell rang we would all walk back to our workstation". That's it, literally fired for doing the exact same thing as the other 12 employees. Where I come from when you hire a new person you should let him know when he's doing something wrong and what the policies are before firing him. In addition, I never even received a employee handbook, I was never told of any rules whatsoever while working at Alro, so to be fired over a rule that I was never told is ridiculous, especially after 2 of the 3 supervisors had just told me I was doing a great job and to keep up the good work.

Pros

Its a job. There are no pros beside that.

Cons

Mandatory overtime without warning , Unrealistic goals for which you are punished for not completing, Zero respect from coworkers and especially management, Far too few employees which results in everybody being overworked, They fire 2/3 people they hire (assuming they don't get them to quit first) without warning, Everybody there is an alcoholic completely without ambition or self respect, They expect you to give everything to the company while giving you nothing besides reprimands and threats of termination, Micromanagement, Micromanagement (putting that twice is absolutely necessary), Management is extremely unprofessional and will come after you if you in any way make them do any type of work - they spend their days sitting in an air conditioned office and occasionally going for a leisurely stroll through the warehouse hands in pockets with their supervisor buddies when its not too hot, They watch the cameras like a hawk looking for anything with which to punish somebody
