Hi there and thanks for taking time to share your feedback - I certainly agree with the first part of your headline that we have fun, challenging (and rewarding!) work here at Alteryx, which is prominent in the conversations I have with our people across the organization and globe. And we're confident that the additions we've made to the leadership team over the past 18 months have been made with an eye to bringing folks with experiences that can help us on our journey into the company. As we articulate our vision for the way forward, please keep the feedback coming! Thanks, David

Pros

- Pay is decent - Nice culture of smart engineers - many opportunities to build and create - innovation days - encouragement to learn and opportunities to do so - Product is coming together as an organization

Cons

- The product was originally a Windows Desktop app in C++. - There is an overemphasis on pre-optimization where as development time, deployment cycles, test-ability, and maintenance are after-thoughts. - Many parts of the code has no product or engineering ownership, and it tends to get thrown on some poor team to deal with it. - Engineering needs a CTO - one that understands long term projects, and not 6 month projects
