Decent part time work

Pros

You get paid per hour, not trip. Cars are usually new and clean. Most customers are nice. Fair amount of downtime between trips is common (depends on shift). Offers health insurance.

Cons

Pay is low, unless you work holidays, OT, or certain shifts. Not as flexible as advertised. They expect you to clean the car in an unreasonable amount of time. Customers cant tip on app.

Pros

Responsible for yourself and personal integrity (be listening for when rides are assigned — don’t wander off to do shopping or errands for yourself. You are at work) Pretty set schedule with options for overtime Paid better than Uber and Lyft with premium hourly pay for evening hours (however, being paid more than Uber is a very low bar)

Cons

The pay could be so much higher for what we do. We serve high-end clients with money to spend. Alto expects certain customer service to be given but very little of that is reflected in pay for drivers. Being expected to go above and beyond for the company and it’s rep. when you make as much as someone who works in fast food is difficult to understand.

Terrible

Pros

Networking, nothing else is a pro at this job.

Cons

Almost everything. They complain about stitching in pants. Expect they target employees. They have double standards. Tell you not to wear jeans and then if you have on black khakis with the stitching not how they like it they change the rule to get you in trouble. Certain leads change the start time for drivers they don’t like. This makes drivers late so they can write them up and get them fired. They have deceptive wording on mandatory tips to customers, which makes customers not tip drivers. The app does not have a tip portion so they expect that customers will have cash which nobody carries anymore.
