Pros

Compensation is good. A lot of really talented and amazing people work here. The supporting hubs are excellent.

Cons

There is no vision or long term goals. Science is not critically evaluated. Lots of nepotism and favoritism when it comes to promotions and project choices.

Pros

Right now it's a great place to work as a scientist. - Exciting science with real opportunities for impact. - Great co-workers and company culture. - Lots of scientific freedom and independence. - Good compensation and great benefits. - Good work-life balance (few emails or Slack messages on nights and weekends).

Cons

Not a lot of formal structure for scientists, which is not necessarily a bad thing. However, it can result in lots of Slack channels and lots of time in meetings coordinating efforts on an ad-hoc basis.
