The biggest con honestly is just the industry itself, but I do think Altria does a great job explaining its place in the nicotine industry. I just could never get over the problem of what I was selling.

Like many large companies, can be slow to make decisions due to bureaucracy. Multiple layers of management often meant that people who know and understand the problems and constraints don't have authority to make necessary changes and people with the authority don't know or understand the work well enough to make meaningful changes. Work life balance is heavily dependent on your manager. Some will ensure that people are not overworked while others will take it as a point of pride that they put in an extra 15-25 hours a week and can't understand why others can't do the same. Being in the tobacco industry isn't for everyone, though the company takes its mission seriously.
