Amazon Go? More like Amazon Run For The Hills
Pros
Really hard to find any. The obnoxious orange shirts are comfy to sleep in, I guess?
Cons
Hard concrete floors with no cushions to stand on, uneven slopes here and there, no pads or softer surfaces in sight - absolute unapologetic nightmare for bad backs and knees. Constantly doing food prep for low-quality food that goes to waste every two hours. Employees are pressured to come into a food-service establishment while sick with diarrhea or vomiting (which would violate food code.) Whole system is tangled up in like half a dozen proprietary websites and apps that require integration and double-checking with *other* apps, so you're trapped in their ecosystem and if you're out, you lose any sort of paper-trail of communications because managers won't answer texts or emails from outside, just tell you to use Chime. Training was a sloppy mess where all the onboarding videos and such were left for last (or implied I should do them unpaid at home), and then they just throw you into the system to flounder. Do not work for this company if you value your own health or sanity, especially not in the Amazon Go and Fresh stores.
