Pros

expected autonomy is great for developing a range of skills. Great pay. Flexibility to work from home, etc.

Cons

The Leadership Principles look great on paper. But the combination of them and to the extent to which senior leadership pushes this culture down will ensure that anything resembling a work life balance is a pipe dream

Pros

Relatively flat management structure, smart people, flexible work/life balance.

Cons

Some people outside of Amazon have a negative image of the company and project it on to you. It's rare but it does happen, I think it would be the same at any other large tech company.
