Pros

Worked with talented engineers and passionate people.

Cons

Got fired through the Pivot process, Amazon internal Performance Improvement Plan. I was offered 2 options - 1. resign immediately and accept a severance package - 2. go through 2 assessment projects and potentially transition to a separate team if successful after those trials My manager built a case against me, after initiating the Pivot process. To back up her decision, she would look for minor defects in my designs, criticizing my work and coming up with fake reasons to terminate me. It is unclear if upper management had pressured her to reduce the team size based on some targets. Or she had made this separation decision on her own to promote different profiles based on gender bias.
