Pros

1) Work with the smartest people in business which allows for continuous learning/improvement. 2) Projects are massive. The smallest projects at Amazon are larger than entire companies (large companies) which gives employees opportunities to do amazing things. 3) Competitive compensation and benefits package 4) Leadership principles really drives the culture and decision making 5) Not a lot of politics or bureaucracy for a company this size.

Cons

1) Long hours. Everyone works long, smart and hard. There isn't really an option to only pick 1/3. 2) There is some bureaucracy that can be challenging but must less than other companies I've worked with.

Pros

* Generous package with RSUs * Innovative company * Flexible work environment * Opportunities to work on many interesting topics * Easiness to transfer internally to another team

Cons

* Don't get in at the wrong level, you might end up getting stuck there. * Leadership Principle are just principle. Old Amazonian would live by these standards, but more and more political managers put their short-term interest before company's long-term interest. * Frugality: don't expect ever flying in business or getting any perks * Extremely top down decision making
