Pros
It's really hard to think of pros these days. I guess there might still be interesting problems to work on somewhere, but in the past couple of years they've thrown so much process and red tape in front of it that it's not worth fighting through to get to them.
Cons
Oh boy. Where to start? Pay cuts, intentional and otherwise. Stock is tanking which has cut almost everyone's pay by very significant amounts and they shrug that off while pressing us to do more with less (that exact phrase was used yesterday by a manager in my presence). Layoffs always looming. Never-ending stream of unforced errors by the S-Team. Nonsensical mandates like "Everyone must go to the office even if you don't work with a single soul anywhere near there." Day 2 for Amazon seems to have been July 5, 2021, when Jassy took over. Used to actually be a good place to work. Now it's so toxic people are quite literally suffering mental health issues.
