Pros

The team has been excellent. Active, innovative, lots of things to do and things to learn. Pager duty varies from team to team, some do not have it at all. Interesting projects, a lot of promising ideas to be implemented.

Cons

Infrastructure is atrocious beyond belief. People passing data on thumb drives, build system/dependency resolver reminding me of a generator from "City of Ember". Things breaking left, right, and center. They called it "controlled chaos"; well, it's chaos alright, I am not sure about "controlled" part. The project priorities are defined by vocal minority, executed by submissive minority, with mid-level management and program managers MIA.

Pros

Challenging work environment, never bored, talented people, fast paced. Everyone works hard or harder. You get exposed to the newest technologies. You push yourself to be at your best.

Cons

Tough work life balance. Not a lot of work from home opportunities. Reorg happens too often.
