Pros

* You get to work with a lot of brilliant people. * There's a lot of opportunity to effect change across the company. * Often you get to come up with your own projects. * Dogs * Flexible work environment.

Cons

* Re-orgs can really set your career back. * No clear path on lateral promotions/Career changes. * No clear path on promotions that can occur in the same level. * They don't care as much about retention. After a few years, they can hire someone for the same position starting out making more than you. You basically have to boomerang to get what you're worth. (Leave the company and come back.) * Culture seems to be fading away. * Too many internal products come and go instead of just making a new version. * Moving to any other team means you will still get the same money you made, no raises even if it is a different job family. You might possibly get a bump if you transfer to SF or NYC. * Sometimes managers tell you exactly what you need to deliver to get a promo and then doesn't do it. (Or even try!)

Pros

The company offers Very challenging work and project ownership. The RSU offerings are great and the quarterly promotion reviews allow high performers to thrive in this high pace environment.

Cons

It is a very big company and at times can feel like you are just a number or a color (blue, orange, red)
