Pros

- Shared Tenets and Principles align everyone on the same practices and level of commitment - No dead weight. No one (at least that I have encountered) has "slipped through the cracks". Very refreshing to work with skilled individuals with no sign of nepotism or the Peter Principle - Plenty of emphasis on work-life balance - Fantastic benefits and salary

Cons

- Politics. Not necessarily a con as every company has their own politics, but if you struggle to navigate sensitive scenarios and take care in the words you use to get your point across, you will drown in the sea of clever professional parrying and cliche one-liners - Not as many superficial benefits that most big-tech companies offer. No massive bonuses, huge gift baskets or 9th gen gaming consoles. You do your work for the love of the work, Amazon won't buy you with anything other than opportunity and a healthy salary

Pros

It feels like there are lots of different startups under one big company, so in daily work you have lot's of flexibility, but at the same time you have benefits of big company. Different teams tries to help each other and you can ask for help almost anyone. This couldn't work without same ideology - and in Amazon ideology build on "Amazon Leadership Principles" which unites all. Company gives a lot of effort to help you with almost anything, and speaking of most customer-centric company - employees is also customers, in some way.

Cons

Not every piece of Amazon is flexible. In hiring process there are lot's of bureaucracy, but they REALLY try to help you with anything. The whole process of hiring with relocation took me 6 month and this is fast one.
