Pros

Fair salary. Good office. Many talented co-workers.

Cons

The company has a very strict chain of command, with very little opportunity for bottom-up, employee-driven, influence on business. The managers themselves have also very little freedom to implement changes to improve engineers working environment. Most managers, and even directors, just strictly follow the commands and directions of vice-presidents, with little to no influence. Inside AWS Network org. most of the employees are treated like suppliers. The morale is low, and many and many employee are dissatisfied. Employees trying to help other employees are not valued. Because a supplier/employee should not lose time with another supplier/employee. You receive a fair salary, but you have little opportunities to feel part of the business.
