Pros

They live and breath their leadership principles, which results in consistent growth and performance. It can be chaotic at time, but the formula for success is indisputable. Being a part of AWS is pretty incredible as so many companies have built their digital strategies on top of it.

Cons

AWS, and Amazon at large, has a peculiar culture. Going to meetings where you review a 1, 2, or 6 page written document (a narrative) silently for the first 10-15 versus PowerPoint being an example. It's not for everyone. You need to have a lot of intellectual intensity, an ability to do things yourself, and embrace ambiguity and change. It's also incredibly hard to get hired, even if you are very experienced.
