Pros

Work with really technically talented people. Peers wanted to do right by the customer.

Cons

The consulting services arm (pro serve) has completely shifted away from doing right by the customer and is now focused mostly on billable hours. A standard consulting practice but not very "Amazonian". I'd say for anyone looking to work at AWS that it's a crap shoot on whether you'll have a decent manager. They might be decent and ethical, or they might be a complete sociopath. Also, your boss changes often, so you could have someone great today and really challenging in 6 months.
