Pros

Lots of learning opportunities, and if you can keep up you grow fast. Practically unlimited resources to play around with too (employee AWS account, AI tools, etc). Pay is also good, but no longer among the very best, especially with recent stock performance.

Cons

Culture is heavily team dependent. I've been on teams where I had pretty good work life balance, and I've had to work 70+ hour weeks. 5 day RTO, lots of bureaucracy, and constant pressure to perform or get PIPd. Depending on the team, on call rotations can also be very bad.

Pros

Salary, interesting projects, cool engineers to work with

Cons

Depending on the team management can be a bit crazy: constant micromanaging, no trust in engineers, and enforcement of AI usage to keep with the trends
