Pros
Pay and benefits are good, although pay rises are small. I was in a company acquired by Amdocs and existing perks were honoured. Office environment good, with weekly fruit and delivery of snacks and small food items for staff. Amdocs seem keen to adopt new technologies, so potential chances to expand skills and learn new things. Amdocs offers training and online resources for learning
Cons
Amdocs is a massive 22000 person bureaucratic monster. Initial promises of training and career progression ended in nothing. Expect endless email invitations to pointless town hall meetings. For an IT company with a large IT dept and a dedicated dept handling mergers and acquisitions, the integration of our company into theirs was a mess, and this was not a unique experience as I heard of other companies that had also suffered poor experiences. In one case, they bought a company without realising the company had their own software platform. Their IT systems are a mess. Our IT manager was moved into pre-sales and an expensive contractor hired to do the exact same job. They are overly paranoid about security but then make mistakes like linking staff to the wrong personnel systems in their records, exposing personal information. Management and control of resources, servers, etc is very Israel-centric.
