Many people applied to be virtual during lockdowns and now the company is backtracking and forcing people hybrid. Company is in a hiring freeze and there has been restructuring so silent layoffs happening. Environment is not the best right now. If you are virtual company is pretty much telling you that you will not have any career growth.

Metric system is rigged. Management is trained to micromanage you at all times. Pay does not match the work given. Be prepared to have multiple supervisor's, you will be moved often from team to team. Team leads barely know anything. Amex will often put individuals in Mgt and Team lead positions that have absolutely no knowledge of what you're doing. So when you need help you are set up to fail. Everything is based on your race and often times it is a well known fact that your pay will not match that of your other colleague's!! Especially when you have more experience and in the same position.
