Pros

Great brand, first class travel

Cons

This is not a company for technical staff. it is is a credit card company that does not recognize or promote innovation on par with tech companies. If you want a safe job, this is the place, but if your passion is technology, be patient, seek other opportunities.

Pros

The company places a lot of focus on employee engagement, collaboration, leadership skills and influencing ability. Networking is important and emphasized on. The company has ethical standards and is a humane organization to work for.

Cons

Climate can be political at times. The company can do more on leadership development and training, and opportunities for career advancement. Pay needs to be improved, particularly at promotion.

Pros

Good work-life balance, can work home on Fridays and some days during the week. Taking vacation is easy

Cons

HR does not know what other groups are doing (ei. What the groups bonus policy). The company is very rigid, you are not up for promotion until you are in your position for 18 months and even then you have to interview for the position against other canditates. Compensation is below market and anyone who is not a manager or above (band 35 or higher) does not get a bonus even if you doing a managers job. It is very hard to move from one group to another (Global travel to consumer cards to loyalty programs). The health benefits are horrible and vacation time is good but the total number of days off are less than what they say - they include holidays so if they tell you 23 days off its really only 14, 9 days are holidays.
