Pros

Company tries to motivate employees positively and does little things like drawings for prizes etc. Lots of training available. Onsite cafeteria and gym.

Cons

For an insurance company, not the greatest benefits packages. Salary is not very competitive without the annual variable bonus which isn't even guaranteed. The claims department has an extremely high turnover rate (firing or making an unbearable work environment) and employee burn out. The position doesn't tell you that you will feel like a call center rep taking lots of phone calls, (following a script) as well as processing claims. Management plays favorites and demotes and promotes employees based on personal affinity.

Pros

Company offers a great range of positions for people of varied levels of education and experience, with competitive salaries, good benefits, and a family atmosphere. Many events are offered to keep the team spirit and morale high. Little touches to make certain days special. On site medical, fitness, and cafeteria are great. Facilities are in good shape and equipment is up to date.

Cons

While it doesn't impact most employees, the company is run by a group of upper management whose sole mission is to try to pull as much money out of the company as fast as they can during their career. Owner and upper management approve themselves millions of dollars in salary, bonus, cars, country club dues. luxury suites and executive only pensions & perks. Bonus programs offered to employees are skewed to provide upper management with the highest percentage. While management makes great efforts to be approachable and on a first name basis with employees, they are living lifestyles that the majority of employees can only dream about. Promotions for the upper level are approved by the other members, and it's understood they will scratch each other's backs to get the maximum benefits for one another.

Pros

Work car/gas card. 401k match

Cons

There is not enough space to write it all down. One of the most toxic places I have ever been apart of. Painful to watch reps struggle under the pressure to squeeze every dollar they can out of educators paychecks. Crazy amount of backstabbing and manipulation that goes on. If you want to feel valued, this is not the place for you.
