Pros
I'm sure you could sucker enough people to buy supplemental income and make good money.
Cons
-When I worked at the Sioux Falls, SD location, they made it feel like a frat-boy environment. They would want your soul and everything about it until you were actually hired and paid the money to take the test. If you weren't immediately producing and making sales, they ignored you and made you feel lesser instead of supporting you. I was then placed in a smaller town where I was forced to use my own phone (which skyrocketed my bill when I had no money) to try and sell a Death and Dismemberment policy that everyone already had in their policy. I was told that "most people don't even look at their policy anyway." The whole thing seemed shady and disconnected, especially the corny video they show you for being top salesmen. It's a self-absorbed video that repeatedly displays Rick Altig Jr.'s giant head on a video screen with repeated slogans of "success" and sweet-talking mantras, which makes sense considering his background in Public Relations. The WORST part about the whole experience was that STUPID, AWFULLY-written, completely corny script they had you remember. What a better way to NOT appear genuine with your potential customers: "Oh wait, I forgot my lines from the script that is supposed to make you feel guilty, so maybe I won't get my minimal cut off the top." In my opinion, it was the most manipulative company I've ever worked for.
