Pros

I worked as an agent with the company for half a year. it is not a scam, its a real job. The fees you pay upfront are for your insurance license and after that you are in training and seeing how the job is done by shadowing another agent in the field and learning the script. Lots of people do not make it in the company because it requires lots of self-motivation, determination and positive attitude to succeed because you are self employed contractor for the company. There are lots of things to be learned so people that work there for only a month or two do not find success. It was great experience and I did earn money while working there, but you are always working if you want to make money. The environment and people at the office were very helpful. You can make your own schedule and work around that but in the tough economy it makes it hard to sell lots of policies. It is a job where you work solely and at your own pace and have the opportunity to meet great new people.

Cons

- claw backs - commission only - income instability - Job requires you to meet clients everyday and work out a time best for the client and you, so majority of the time you work evenings and weekends.
