Pros
There are many pros to becoming a member of the American Income Life team. Flexibility of schedule, income potential and lead generation are just a few. As an independent contractor, I can work as little or as much as I like, but obviously, the more I work, the more income I generate. We also have an outstanding PR team that generates our leads from the member based organizations that we work with like labor unions, credit unions and associations. I have never had to do any cold-calling or door knocking, and there is no ridiculous requirement to bring in a list of friends and family to try and sell. I am in the driver's seat for my career and I can control how quickly or slowly I advance. American Income and their managers will give you all the tools needed for success, it's up to you to use them!
Cons
Some of the challenges we face are pretty standard to the insurance industry. If you don't have a desire to work hard, and I mean hard, this is probably not the industry for you. It takes time and commitment to get going in the business, but If I was going to start out with any company, it would be American Income. But for as much as I work, 6-7 days a week, I choose to work that much. my philosophy is to do the things I have to do now, so I can do the things I want to do later.
