Pros

AIL provides a great system for earning income and generating passive income. They also give you access to alot of sales support material from their past webinars & conferences online so if you want to learn how skilled AIL associates work then you have options.

Cons

Training is supposed to involve a rotation with senior agents, my training did not and as a consequence I did not see anyone actually but these insurance products during my 1-2 months of training. I did not get along well with my trainer and after 1 month of daily interaction inquired about the rotation aspect of training, management advised me they would look into it but I was not assigned to another agent. Pay during the training phase was not forthcoming and after repeated request I was given a small stipend from said trainer who did not make any sales during my training and who I did not mesh with personality wise, this was a very uncomfortable series of conversations considering I had left my prior job to take this one because of the higher earning potential and paid training(other agents in training were paid however their trainers also made multiple sales during their training). When I finally did give my two week notice to the company the meeting with the agency manager included my trainer, I requested to not have her in the room or to have a two stage conversation so that I could speak my mind and this request was ignored so my stated reason for leaving was quite different from the real reason I left

Pros

I would say the pay, but basically every life insurance company offers a better commission structure than AIL

Cons

I was working there for about 4 months until I realized that I was getting played. The commissions are always talked up, but I've since moved on to another life insurance company that pays MUCH MUCH better -- and there is no quota to meet so any sale will pay 95% of the annualized premium. When I was working there I spend countless hours in pointless trainings (the managers basically just get up there and try to imitate what theyve seen in the movies where someone gives a speech and the crowd goes wild, except they basically repeat the same thing over and over again at every meeting) Also, don't you think it's funny that all of the good reviews have the same date on them while all of the bad reviews have different dates? It looks like the same person wrote all of these -- someone with a conflict of interest was trying to spam the ratings to make sure they brought up the rating of the company. Just food for thought....
