Pros

Money if you don’t mind not having a life.

Cons

Management was horrible, team leaders were awful with training. Training was bad, was never properly compensated during training, never saw any actual people get signed up for policy until it was my own turn to do so. Leads were ancient and almost unusable, most were recycled peoples accounts that didn’t want contact from the company. They set you up for failure from the beginning. Can’t get any new leads till I made sales with old bad leads. Once I got selling, the days were a minimum of 12 hours long. Management when I was working there acted like they saw “Wolf of Wall Street” and said yes, I want that work culture turned up to 11.

Pros

Loose, casual environment. A little too casual sometimes, borderline not appropriate

Cons

Free work. You’re expected to work 6 days a week for the first couple months for FREE. It is commission ONLY. And you only get commission for the WHOLE life policies you sell. My entire team, including my manager quit within a few months. Training is unpaid, the countless mandatory locker-room type meetings that they can just pop on you is unpaid, the mandatory days of sitting there calling for hours on end is unpaid. It’s pretty sketchy, if not almost illegal. And morally questionable. Unless you already have a steady source of income, this is NOT a survivable job. When I was first hired on I was told about the “high turnover” as part of a “demanding environment.” I quickly learned that it was not the result of a “competitive” or “demanding” environment. It’s bc they’re working mandatory 6 day weeks for nothing. It’s a legal loophole for free labor, and they rely on the desperation and ignorance of their short term employees.
